The early pace might be set by the 3yo Starproof but it will need to improve time wise on what it recorded at Lingfield on the Tapeta surface but it could be dangerous if allowed an easy lead but both Imperial Dream and Belle Fourche like to track the leaders so could ensure the early pace is a decently fast gallop but I think they will be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace as the favourite according to the early tissue prices is Imperial Dream but it only comes out 4th best on my figures but that rating is good enough for 2nd top spot on just 2023 ratings so it could go well if others falter. Kit Gabriel is my 3rd top rated using a 2022 rating, sitting in 2nd top spot on my overall figures is NEWYORKSTATEOFMIND 9/1 (EW) who is another that likes to track the leaders and it is my top rated using just this years ratingsand from stall one it could get a good early position on the rails just behind the leaders ready to pounce nearing the finish but EL HOMBRE 9/1 (EW) has a rating from 2022 that makes it my top rated and this one can either track the leaders or be held up for a late run and ought to be able to get a decent early position from stall 4, this one is being ridden by a good 5lb claiming apprentice who is having their first ride for the stable which could swing things in its favour, so with my 2nd top rated being drawn better i will be backing them both in this race and if each way prices all the better.

This must be one of the worst handicaps I have ever seen as I have negatives against every runner in the race, there is six 3yo’s in this 13 runner race which doesn't help matters and in reality its probably a race best left alone but using my ratings and the early tissue prices I will be taking a punt on REBEL REDEMPTION 10/1 who has been known to lead before and if getting to the front here it could prove hard to catch, admittedly it does need to bounce back to form so I will only be backing it if its a double figure price so I can take a bit of insurance but my stake certainly will be on the low side.
