Twelve runners in this class 6 sprint with 3 known front running types in the field, of that trio Boom The Groom seems to be getting slower each year due to its age, an 11yo, and Portelet Bay seems better on the Tapeta surface while Big Impact 5/1 needs to improve quite a few spots time wise so they are likely setting the race up for a finishing type. Suanni 5/1 let me down when I backed it on Saturday but is dropped in distance here and finds it too short for it so its one I would look to lay. Come On Girl is my 3rd top rated and can be held up or track the leaders but with the fast starters in stalls 5, 8 and 9, it could be the meat in the sandwich trying to get a good early position, Coolagh Magic sits in 2nd top spot and this one likes to track the leaders and is drawn in stall 3 so could get a good position on the rails from which to attack in the home straight and might be worth a covering bet. Top rated is BOBBY ON THE BEAT 25/1 (EW) but this stables last winner came 21 runners ago and for a hold up or middle placed horse in the early stages it will need gaps to challenge late on in the race so stall one could be a blessing or it could be the kiss of death in the make-up of this race so any stakes have to be kept small but at the price I cannot let it run without backing it each way in this race.

WOLVERHAMPTON 3.50
A class 5 dash with 11 runners and 4 known front running types amongst them which can set the race up for something coming from off the pace but if Lihou 10/1 can reproduce its best speed figure over this course and distance from 2021 it would probably make the frame. I could look to lay *Bethersden Boy 7/1 who races as though further would suit it better but the fast early pace could possibly help its cause so it will depend whether its price makes it value to lay or not. Lynn's Boy 12/1 has the best speed figure from Southwell so could be dangerous but for a front running type stall 1 might not be ideal, POCKLEY 5/1 is my 2nd top rated and usually likes to track the leaders so stall might suit it where it can sit on the rails just behind the leaders ready to pounce and its apprentice jockeys claim moves it top spot but its best rating came from Newcastle which is a straight course so just in case it doesn't like this course i will also back my original top rated horse KIM WEXLER 6/1 who can either track the leaders or be held up in midfield and then stay on strongly at the finish and the jockey has a decent 17% win ratio for the stable.
