A field of 12 for this class 5 sprint with 5 of the runners having been known to lead before so it should be a true run race which always helps when trying to analyse a race. There is a horse that I will be looking to lay if of value to do so, Holbache 11/2 has been known to lead before but with others with the same plan in this race this one might not stay the distance and has only one slow time to its name over this course and distance. Porfin (non-runner) is capable of going well but with a fast early pace where the leaders don't fade it can struggle to stay the distance so this race might not be run to suit it plus the jockeys 0-13 for the stable puts me off its chances of winning. The 3yo Bethersden Boy 7/1 likes to track the leaders but has never run on this surface so could be a danger if taking to it. As for the winner of this race I will be backing 2 horses, firstly ELECTRIC LOVE 6/1 who usually races in midfield and then stays on resolutely nearing the finish and the trainer has a 19% win ratio with their older horses at this course, secondly its BEZZA'S LAD 12/1 (EW) who is one that can lead or track the leaders so stall 12 isn't ideal and I think it might be a bigger price than it warrants because of the draw but if it gets an ideal position from which to attack it ought to run a good race and if it gets to the front it could lead all the way and the jockey booking looks significant as he has a 31% win ratio on the stables older horses and with a better draw it might have been the only horse I would back in this race and at the price available it has to be worth an each way wager.

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.30
There's 11 runners for this class 4 dash with 3 front running types amongst them, Soul Seeker has only produced slow times as it doesn't appear to like this surface, the 3yo top weight Obtain 10/3 will be trying to stay on at the finish but maybe too late for the win but could make the frame if that price near the off then I would look to lay as it represents poor value. Of the possible pacesetters, Bang On The Bell 13/2 in stall 9, Autumn Flight 28/1 in stall 6 and Red Walls 6/1 in stall 5, I'm not sure which one will get to the front or whether they will battle throughout the race to set the pace but I can see them setting it up for something that comes from off the pace, Autumn Flight has the best rating of the front running trio but it was recorded on Polytrack at Chelmsford and hasn't ran on this surface before but if able to reproduce that rating it should at least do enough to make the frame but as usual I will stick with the proven and my money will be riding on STREET LIFE 8/1 who likes to track the leaders and then stay on at the finish and from stall 2 it ought to be able to get a good position on the rails just behind the leaders ready for a late surge plus the apprentice jockey booked has won twice before for this stable from just 9 rides which isn't a bad record and that 7lb claim could swing things even more so in its favour.
Street Life 8/1 4th -1pt

Total on the day -3pts
