To be honest there's not really much form to work with in this race with five 3yo’s in the field of 12 so any stakes will be kept low, the top weighted MUSCIKA 9/1 (EW) catches my eye as it is dropped in class to run in this race and the last time it was dropped to this class 5 level it won and therefore I'm hoping it can repeat that effort here as the rating it recorded here last year would be enough to win this race and at the price could be worth an each way punt.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.30
This 6 furlong sprint has 3 known front running types so it should be a true run race, one I will be looking to lay is Ancient Times who seems to have trouble staying today's distance with a fast early pace while Royal Pleasure can struggle to stay this distance but with the make-up of this race it could be staying on if the leaders tire nearing the finish. Strike Red is a joint 2nd top rated using a rating from 2021 at Newcastle but hasn't been in good form lately, WATCHYA 7/1 (EW) is one of the front runners in the race and is my other joint 2nd top rated using a 2022 course and distance rating and could lead all the way here as long as it doesn't have to battle too hard and then fade nearing the finish, using a rating it recorded at Newcastle in 2020 DUBAI STATION 14/1 (EW) comes out in top spot but only by a couple of pounds and then its being ridden by a 7lb claiming apprentice so if worth the claim takes it 9lbs clear, it hasn't any recent form over this course and distance but has shown it can still compete at this level with form from elsewhere, so I will be backing them both to cover the angles and maybe each way wagers might pay dividends.
Dubai Station 14/1 5th -2pts
Watchya Unp -2ptw
Lay bets Ancient Times -1pt, Royal Pleasure +1pt
Total -2pts
Total on the day -4pts
