3:09 Lingfield Racing Tips (5th March)

LINGFIELD 3.09

A nice looking race for a class 6 affair with a couple of known front runners in the race and both of them could go well, it will be a bit of a surprise if Fard, The Defiant, Vincenze Coccotti, Hot Hot Hot or Mercers win this race and I expect they will all be double figure prices, that's half the field eliminated Munificent 11/4 may prefer a longer distance and might be worth laying at such a short price, Ocean Eyes is still a maiden after 20 runs and 12 of them have been on the AW surfaces, its been 78 days since the trainer of Hope Springs last had a winner, BIG TIME MAYBE 9/2 is one of the possible pacesetters to this race, its best c/d rating is 2nd top for just 2021/22 ratings and its rating from Kempton in 2020 would see it winning this race with a bit in hand, MOVEONUP 7/2 also has a time from 2020 at Chelmsford that makes it my 2nd top rated and I think one of them could possibly lead all the way but which one I don't know so I will be backing them both and just hope they don't battle to hard for dominance and then fade nearing the finish.

LINGFIELD 3.50

Three of the six runners met last Saturday over this course and distance where ONE NIGHT STAND 3/1 ridden by Hollie Doyle led all the way and beat Strong Power by 2 necks into third place they meet on 2lbs better terms in favour of the latter in this race and this time Hollie Doyle is riding Strong Power which is her first ride for the stable, while One Night Stand is being ridden by a good 5lb claiming apprentice so the result should be the same again, the 3 that didn't run in last Saturdays race look a bit out of depth although Night On Earth 8/1 has a good speed figure on the Tapeta surface at Newcastle but its limited runs on this surface don't inspire confidence so might be worth laying if it stays a single figure price while Recon Mission hasn't been in good form and might need this run for fitness, Crimson Sand 4/1 did run last Saturday but not in the same race and needs to improve time wise to win this race and looks worth laying at the price.

One Night Stand 11/2 6th -1pt

Lay bets Night On Earth +1pt, Crimson Sand +1pt

Total +1pt

SOUTHWELL 7.30

It will be a big surprise if the bottom 3 in the handicap were to win this race but won't be of value to lay, unless your a big risk taker, Endowed 8/1 has a good speed figure from Chelmsford on the Polytrack surface but hasn't ran on the Tapeta surface at Newcastle and Wolverhampton and its rating over this c/d is poor so one that might be worth laying, I think Whittle Le Woods 5/2 will be the favourite but I have a feeling it might get outpaced in this race after running in 7 furlong races recently but with 3, Airshow, Twilight Madness and Recall The Show, pacesetters this race might fall into its lap so despite all my negative thoughts I'm not sure I can lay it either, I will back RECALL THE SHOW 6/1 to get to the front and then prove good enough to hold of any challengers and its rating when winning last time out over this c/d is quite a decent rating for this class of race and has been found an ideal opportunity to follow up here.

Recall The Show 6/1 5th -1pt

Lay bet Endowed +1pt

Total 0pt
