6:30 Chelmsford Racing Tips (2nd December)

CHELMSFORD 6.30

I hope all 8 runners take part in case I find an each way wager, I would look to lay Lion King if of value to do so at single figure odds as I think it needs a longer distance and is still a maiden after 11 runs, I could also lay Copinet 5/2 if its a short price, its forecast to be the five to two favourite, as I think this trip is a bit too short for it and doesn't come in my top 3 ratings, the top weight Sir Rodneyredblood has won its last 2 races but only comes out 4th best on my figures and my top 3 are all front running types, and that's using a Lingfield time the trainer hasn't had a winner for over 3 weeks from its 12 runners, Expert Opinion has the stall 1 draw and is my 3rd top rated, I am not sure if Storm Melody 14/1 is up to winning a class 4 race but does come out joint top rated on my own figures and does have a positive looking jockey booking as does Charming Kid 15/2 who comes out 2nd best on my figures but this ones trainer hasn't had a winner in the last 33 days so i have to think it has another target in mind so I will be backing BUY ME BACK 6/1 who indicated a return to form when finishing 3rd last time out and stall 7 should not be too much of a problem with the make-up of this race and if getting to the front it could prove hard to catch.

Buy Me Back 14/1 5th -1pt

Lay bets: Copinet -5pts, Lion King +1

Total -5pts

CHELMSFORD 7.00

A 11 runner class 6 race which isn't very inspiring, I will look to lay I'm Mable 4/1 who has won over this distance on grass but may find the distance a bit too short here, there are 3 runners that have been known to lead Amajova, Big Time Maybe and Kaths Lustre 5/1 and the latter could do best of those 3 despite being in stall 9 and if getting to the lead it could prove hard to catch but both its c/d time and best time from Lingfield were both recorded last year and hasn't been in good form lately plus its not really an each way price, I think they will be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace with SHANGHAI ROCK 9/2 being my top rated on just my 2021 course and distance speed ratings so has to have a decent chance here, while I have a time for GIOVANNI TIEPOLO 40/1 (EW) from Lingfield last year which would give it a few spots in hand of today's rivals but it hasn't shown much lately and hasn't won on an artificial surface from 10 previous attempts and its been quite awhile since the trainer had a winner on the flat but at that price I cannot let it run without having a few quid on it as an each way punt.

Shanghai Rock 13/2 9th -1pt
Giovanni Tiepolo 80/1 Unp -2pts

Lay bets I'm Mable -1.625pts

Total - 4.625pts

Total on the day -9.625pts
