GREAT NEWS 3/1 this 3yo usually likes to track the leaders and races as though further would suit it better, time wise it comes out 5th top rated and this race might not be run to suit it.
MAMILLIUS 7/2 usually stays on at the business end of the race after tracking the pacesetters, time wise its 4th best on my figures.
RECALL THE SHOW 5/1 another that likes to track the early pace its best time was recorded over this course and distance which is good enough for 2nd top spot but the trainer is 0-6 in the last 2 weeks and its been 19 days since their last winner.
BATCHELOR BOY also recorded its best time over today's course and distance and it was a time good enough to take it to top spot and is usually held up for a late run.
BOOM THE GROOM 4/1 could set the pace to the race and a few years ago it would probably have won this race but it hasn't show much time wise since 2019.
GILT EDGE 17/2 a hold up type and is my 3rd top rated so could be staying on a bit too late to get to the front in time for the win.
SUMMARY: On my figures if BATCHELOR BOY 4/1 reproduces its earlier course and distance time it would be winning this race a little bit cosily and will be carrying my money.
BRIGHTON 5.30
ATTY'S EDGE 10/3 is a hold up type but only comes out 4th best on my overall speed figures so may not get to the leaders quickly enough for the win.
WE’RE REUNITED is another who will be staying on at the finish and the trainer does like to have winners at this course with a 21% win ratio with their older horses.
SIR RODNEYREDBLOOD 10/3 hasn't made the frame in 7 runs on grass and it might have more of a chance when tried over a longer trip and i will lay it if a single figure price.
KING CRIMSON 7/2 is the one that i think will be the one to set the early pace to this race and as its my 3rd top rated it could go well from the front.
CAPPANANTY CON 4/1 likes to track the leaders if it can as I think its better over further especially on good to firm ground so another I might look to lay.
ESSAKA has only poor recent form but it has a time from 2020 recorded at Bath that makes it my top rated and the jockey booking looks a positive so I'm hoping that's a good omen.
OCEAN WILDE 10/1 is a 3yo who has only slow times over this distance and races as though further might suit it better
SUMMARY: I will look to lay some of these when I know exactly what the going is going to be and of course the betting helps my decisions whether they are value to lay or not, I will split my stakes in this race and back both ESSAKA 10/1 and WE’RE REUNITED 8/1 who both like to track the leaders and then stay on strongly at the business end of the race and one is top rated on 2021 times and the other on my overall speed figures.
