6:30 Southwell Racing Tips (29th December)

SOUTHWELL 6.30

KING OF STARS 4/1 a 3yo who can lead or track the leaders but time wise from when it won over this c/d it would need to improve a few spots to win this race and maybe worth a lay at the price.

GIOGLOBBO 2/1 has only one slow run over this c/d to its name but its best time from Newcastle would put it in 2nd spot overall and it is another that could attempt to set the pace.

CENTURIAN SONG 13/2 this 3yo has never run over this c/d and has only a mediocre time from Wolverhampton to its name so not sure what to expect.

LORNA COLE 10/1 has run once over this c/d before resulting in a slow time and its best from Wolverhampton would only put it into 4th top spot overall.

SLOWMO 6/1 another possible pacesetter but I don't think surface suits it and i would look to lay it in this race if a single figure price.

OEIL DE TIGRE 50/1 a versatile type with its racing tactics it best c/d time would make it 3rd top on just 2020 times and 5th top spot overall.

MAY THE SIXTH 9/1 once again another possible front runner and this 3yo is 2nd best on just 2020 c/d times and in 3rd top spot on all figures.

TOP BOY 12/1 has only slow times recently as it has been in poor form and another i will look to lay if any value to do so.

RED STRIPES 14/1 this one is another possible pacesetter and has the top rating from 2020 and its good enough for top spot overall.

SUMMARY: With 6 of the 9 runners having led before it looks like it will be a mad dash over the minimum trip, i cannot see it not being one from something racing prominently, May The Sixth my 3rd top overall and 2nd on 2020 c/d times and Gioglobbo who is 2nd top overall on a Newcastle time could go well here but my money will be riding on RED STRIPES 14/1 (EW) hoping it bounces back to form here and leads from start to finish and as long as there is at least eight runners I would back it each way.

Red Stripes 20/1 7th (-2pts)
