SOLDIER'S MINUTE 5/1 is my 2nd top rated on just 2020 c/d times and the trainer has a 23% win ratio at this course with their older horses and won the time before last but was outclassed in a Listed race on its last run.
PREMIER POWER 7/4 I wouldn't put anybody off backing this progressive 3yo but this is a big step up in class and its one run over this c/d was a slow run affair and it would need to improve its best time from Lingfield to win this race and at 7/4 I would take the risk and lay it.
ORNATE 16/1 I don't think 6 furlongs is the preferred distance for this horse as its best form has been over 5 furlongs so i would look to lay it.
AMARILLO STAR 10/1 another 3yo who’s times over this c/d have been relatively slow for his class of race even its best time from Newcastle would still see it struggling to win this race.
TAWNY PORT 20/1 another horse with relatively slow times for this class of race over this c/d and this ones best time from Chelmsford still falls short.
BRIAN THE SNAIL 8/1 hasn't any form over this distance on this surface to work with but this ones best time from Newcastle would make it top rated but I don't think this 6yo is up to winning this class of race.
TYPHOON TEN 15/2 this one has the best c/d time from this year but again all its best work has come in lower class races it could run ok but I'm doubtful it can win the race so maybe worth laying.
RECON MISSION 14/1 this is a possible front runner in this race and being my 3rd top rated it could go well from the front but it was caught last time out by the top weight in this race and isn't weighted to reverse the form but is an each way price and could make the frame.
EQUITATION 10/1 has only slow time over this c/d but does have a good time from Chelmsford back in 2018 but I think it is a better horse when raced over further.
SUMMARY: The pace will come from either Premier Star or more likely by Recon Mission and this one has a good rating, 3rd best for 2020 c/d times, a few others, Equitation, Typhoon Ten and Brian The Snail could go well but all have a negative against their names when it comes to winning races over this distance or this course so I will stick with the proven horse SOLDIER'S MINUTE 5/1 a reproduction of its win to races ago ought to see it back into the winners enclosure in this race and the trainers good record at this course makes me think they are expecting it to go well.
