5:45 Wolverhampton Racing Tips & Lay Bets (2nd March)

WOLVERHAMPTON 5.45

TABAAHY can be held up or track the leaders, does quite well on the AW but it's 1 run here gave a c/d time which isn't quite good enough to make the frame here so looks poor value at 10/3.

SLOWMU is another with good form on the AW but it is the only known frontrunning type in the race so could go well if allowed to dictate the pace I'm surprised to see its 20/1 but maybe they know more than I do.

BIG LACHIE is usually held up for a late run but will do well to catch those near the front in this race so at 7/1 it doesn't look of value.

JOHNNY REB hasn't any form to its name on this Tapeta surface but its best time from Chelmsford would put it in 3rd top spot overall so could go well if taking to this surface but at 5/2 I sure couldn't back it to win this race as it looks poor value.

BUGLER BOB hasn't any c/d time to its name and its best from Newcastle (same surface but no bends) would make it 4th top overall so could make the frame if others falter and priced at 10/1.

DESERT LAND another with no c/d form to its name and its best time from Lingfield is a few spots lower than what is needed here and doesn't look fancied at 14/1.

CALIN'S LAD its best c/d time from 2018 would make it 5th top-rated overall but 4th on just c/d times and an outsider at 22/1.

MADRINHO has had 2 runs this year after a break from racing and it hinted at a return to form last time out when 4th beaten less than 2 lengths and the jockey booking look significant.

ISABELLA RUBY has been in poor form recently but its best from a lower class race would make it competitive but not for me here and looks unfancied at 40/1.

SUMMARY: A bit of a mish-mash of crossed lines of form and times makes it a hard race to analyse to a conclusion, only (Isabella Ruby) is on my radar to lay, I am hoping Slowmu from stall 8 tries to make the running like it has done before and then the horse I will be backing, MADRINHO 8/1 can follow it from stall 9 and track across nearer to the rails to get a good position from which to attack late on and the jockey booking is what swayed me to go with just the 1 bet in the race.

Madrinho 8/1 4th

Lay bets: Isabella Ruby (+1pt)

Total on day 0pts
