IRENE MAY has only slow times over this c/d and its best time from Wolverhampton would leave it outside the frame so maybe a lay.
FEN BREEZE is the only known frontrunner in the race but timewise it would need to improve, this is its 1st run at this course and has a good record on other AW tracks so it could be a danger.
HASSAAD hasn't won from 7 previous attempts on the AW tracks but has been placed in 5 of those 7 races, has only a slow c/d time and its best time came on the Tapeta surface which would make it joint 2nd top-rated.
ALICIA DARCY has only slow c/d times to its name but using its best time from Lingfield it comes out top rated overall.
SHOWU is still a maiden after 10 runs with a slow time on its only c/d run but I am not convinced the 6th furlong is in its favour so one to lay.
DUBAI ELEGANCE has a positive jockey booking and this will be its debut at this c/d and its best time from Wolverhampton would make it joint 2nd top overall.
EQUIPPED is making its handicap debut here, has average time from Lingfield and Chelmsford but could make the frame and wouldn't need to improve much to win this race.
SUMMARY: The only older horse sprint of the day and only 7 runners, the biggest dilemma in this race is that both Hassaad and Alicia Darcy are from the same stable and the same owner and are 1st and joint 2nd top-rated, the tissue price favours the former but if ALICIA DARCY 9/1 is primed to run to its best it has to be the one I back but I will have a covering bet on its stablemate, I would look to lay (Showu and Irene May) to cover my stakes and show a profit.
