4:00 Catterick Racing Tips (10th September)

CATTERICK 4.00 Div1 (8.4)

Quite a poor class 6 race so any stakes will be kept low, B Fifty Two won last time out in a veterans race and its at the top of the handicap here so it could go well again in this race, Kodicat is another that could go well but this one can struggle to stay 6 furlongs if there's a fast early pace so this fairly stiffish course might not suit it too well, I will have a small wager on the bottom weight CARLOVIAN 12/1 just because it could be the one to set the pace in this race and if leading could prove hard to catch, if the price is big enough I will obviously advise going with an each-way bet.

CATTERICK 4.35 Div2

Not sure this division is better or worse, Mambila and Indian Pursuit have been known to lead before and if either is allowed an easy lead they could do better than they ought especially so if the latter is allowed to dictate the pace, Mr Greenlight and Mansfield could be in the mix if they can reproduce their best but my money will be riding on the top-weighted ROSE MARMARA 5/1 who I will admit hasn't been in the best of form so far this year is on a losing run of 10 races but I do think it has only once had its ideal conditions and it did get placed in that race but this horse has been in class 4 races this year so I'm hoping the drop in class here will see it bounce back to winning ways.

CATTERICK 5.10

The 3rd class 6 race of the day but this 5 furlong affair looks much better than the 2 previous races here, I've got joint 4th top-rated horses in Rego Park lady and Young Tiger who both can be held up or track the leaders and their best times have come this year as has Lydiate Lady who comes out 2nd top-rated with Pearl Noir in top spot, Pearl Noir’s best overall time would make it 3rd best and Lydiate Lady would be 2nd top overall, the one my money will be riding on is SEAMSTER 8/1 who is being ridden by a good 5lb claiming apprentice and that allowance would move it into 2nd top spot on 2019 times but its best time at Nottingham in 2018 is quite a few spots higher then add on the fact its front runner in a race where doesn't look an abundance of early speed it could possibly be able to lead all the way here and as usual if the price is big enough do it as an each-way investment.
