2:50 Sandown Racing Tips (13th September)

SANDOWN 2.50 (7.7)

UNION ROSE my original 3rd top-rated but I'm not sure this course will be ideal for it and timewise needs to improve.

KING ROBERT needs to show quite a bit more at this trip as it looks much better over further and it would be one I would look to lay if priced at a single figure price.

INDIAN RAJ is my other original joint top-rated who might not want really fast going and the jockeys 2-4 record for this stable points to them expecting a big run here.

DR DORO is another that could attempt to lead but another that would also need to improve timewise to stay there all the way to the line.

JOEGOGO a possible front runner is being ridden by a 7lb claiming apprentice but he has a 0-7 record for this stable so I'm not sure this race is its target.

OUR OYSTERCATCHER could try to lead but needs to improve timewise to win this race and could be one to lay in running if it does get to the front.

REWAAYAT recorded a fast time over 6 furlongs but hasn't been tried over this distance before so I'm not sure whether it got the early speed so as not to get outpaced and if can then it could be very dangerous.

KODIAC EXPRESS starts off as my joint top rated on 2019 times and its 3lb apprentices claim moves it to top spot and the jockey has 24% win record for this stable.

WOTADOLL hasn't shown much at this distance lately and its win this year was over 6 furlongs so it could be trying to stay on at the finish but I think too late.

BAHAMIAN SUNRISE has a time from 2018 that would just about make it competitive here but hasn't been in good form lately and will be one of the outsiders.

SUMMARY: With 4 front running types in this race who are all rated very close together it should be a fast run dash but I think they will be setting the race up for something coming from off the pace, I will have to back INDIAN RAJ 4/1 now that it looks like Kodiac Express is going to be a non-runner, I would have backed them both if it had run, if getting a clear run when coming to challenge it could pick up the leaders.

Indian Raj 4/1 6th
